We’ve all heard the term ‘marketing’ before, but what does it really mean? What does marketing mean to you? Put it in your own words. What do you think of ‘marketers’? Is marketing good or bad? What qualities or characteristics of marketing define it as a good or bad industry?

I believe that marketing is how a company promotes or advertises their brand to the consumer. Marketing can be both good and bad depending on the product and how its marketed. A good marketing plan should attract positive attention to your company. Marketing can also be negative though, for example false advertising. Characteristics that make it a good industry are its positive, innovative and honesty. Marketing can be also be deceitful and false.

Marketing is raising awareness of a product brand or service with the intention of generating sales and engagement! Marketing is defiantly a good thing, as it’s a way of putting your product out there in a way that it will draw people in to be interested enough to buy the product. Some characteristics you need to have when marketing a product would be to have passion about your product and to know the wants and needs of your customers so you are providing them with something they will buy.

Marking is the business of a seller persuading a buyer. I think marketers are important because they help us learn about products, bad or good things about them they make us want to buy them. I think marketing is good because we wouldn’t know many things about products if it wasn’t for marketers telling us about them. Some qualities a good marketing industry needs is valid information as well as eye catching advertisements for that product there selling.

My understanding too marketing is people selling products and the price of quality stuff will influence the price in general. How to sell and how to buy, is the biggest part of business.

Marketing to me is the compilation of strategies used to advertise and sell a certain product or service. The way a company advertises itself can mark their future, wether it will become desirable to the public or completely fail to sell. I don’t think it’s bad but I don’t think it’s good either, it certainly looks for self-profit and it doesn’t really take morality as something that’s needed.

To me, I see marketing as simply the act of presenting and showing off your product in hope to convince consumers to buy in. Marketers use a wide variety of methods to suck in the population and make their products stand out, using advertisements and promotions etc. Marketers even go as far as lying to customers in hope for a higher sale rate, which brings up another argument being whether marketing is good or bad. To me marketing can be either good or bad depending on the company and especially the product. The biggest effect of marketing on the economy is that it will raise demands for certain products. A company promoting their new flavour of vodka may be considered bad as the result is a higher demand for vodka, yet an eco-friendly company promoting a new lawn care product may be considered good as the demand for this will also raise.

Marketing is how a company chooses to promote and sell their product or service. To me, marketing is about learning how to advertise to a certain demographic and having them interested in the product being sold. I believe marketing can have a positive and negative effect on society because it is very important for business’ to advertise their product but marketers can be very deceitful with the consumers.

Posters, tv advertisements, the launch of a new product, all involve forms of marketing, but what is marketing? Marketing, in large is tactics, strategies and formulas developed by business men, and marketers, to maximize profit on products. In addition, marketers seek new and innovative ways to maintain their current clientele all while reaching out to new customers. Marketing can be both good and bad, it’s just a question of finding the perfect balance. Good and successful industry are able to find the balance between drawing the attention of customers without overloading them with advertisements. As well, industries that are consistent with service and continuously come up with new ideas are more successful and see the most profit.

I personally think marketers are helping the industry and marketing is good for the industry but not so good for other people because marketing is very important when it comes to selling your product and promoting your brand but it is not so beneficial for people whose looking for cheaper products.

In my opinion, marketing is a good and bad thing. It’s good in the sense that it keeps the economy running, and bad that there is such things as false advertisements and false sales from marketers that scam people. I think the good over weighs the bad because marketing allows people to be happy, and buy the things that they want, cause people like to own “stuff”

Marketing, is a term that has many different meanings, it is an extremely broad subject that the whole world is exposed to and is behind everything you see, and there are many, many examples of marketing. Types of marketing include advertising, communication, business, buying and selling, social media, and much, much more.
When many people think of marketing, they think of advertisements that try to suck you into buying a product or service. That is only a small part of the marketing world and marketing is not actually just a technique to sell product, but it is the economic side to nearly every single aspect of how a company will ensure that their business is in good form in regards to the delivery of their product to the consumer.
Companies have entire departments that are dedicated to marketing, as it is likely one of the most crucial parts to the success of the business. When a business plans to put a product on the market, the first thing that is to be thought of is how the product will be supplied and how it will sell. For instance, Dragons Den is a perfect example of people marketing their product or service. they have to come up with the correct numbers, advertisements, selling patterns, social media reach, and more.
In conclusion, it is an extremely important part to the business world and is everywhere you look, no matter what business it may be.

Marketing means to me when you promote or advertise something in order to sell a product. A marketer is someone who sells or promotes a product. Marketing is good because it covers advertising, public relations, promotions and sales. Those are a few things you need for a successful business. There is few ways marketing is bad though like persuasion, omission and deception. These all have to do with reading the small print in order to get what you want and to buy something that you don’t know everything about. If you don’t ask all the right questions or know everything about the product you could be getting yourself into trouble.

I don’t view it as negative or positive necessarily, but rather up to the consumer to decide whether that product or service fits them and their lifestyle. Marketers are just doing their job, like everyone else. I believe that marketing can be a good industry, because it can sell people products that improve their lives or make it easier. However, if the marketing for something is dishonest, then it negatively impacts the people who are wasting their money on it. Good marketing is honest, informative, and engaging. Bad marketing is dishonest, misleading, or uninteresting.

Within the world of business, Marketing is a very broad term used to describe the process in which a concept is materialized and delivered to the consumer. In my opinion I believe marketers are both sneaky and creative with the variety of tactics used to help promote their products with the ultimate goal of appealing to the consumer so they buy it. Marketers have to be smart and deliver their message in a way that will not be construed as rude or a gimmick. Marketing can be both good and bad for the following reasons. It is good in the sense that it helps us determine what we spend our money on. It is bad in the sense that they use various tactics of persuasion to help acquire data on us and direct the advertisement towards us so that we feel compelled to buy the product. This can often come across as an invasion of privacy but is a well known tactic used by marketers. The characteristic that define the industry of marketing as a “bad” industry dishonesty and deceitfulness. Many sly tactics are used to obtain peoples personal information which ultimately sways people into buying products.

I think that marketing is a smart way to kind of tell people to buy your stuff. I think marketers work really hard to think about something that people is going to remember and to make up something so good to convince someone to buy it. Marketing is good but it should be more honest, I think is really helpful to the market but marketers say a lot of lies… Honesty is really important for the defining of an industry.

Marketing is good because if your going into business its a great course to take and prepares you for the future. what defines marketing a good industry is the customers obviously but also your employees and they’re extremely likeable and they’re excellent at speaking to promote your business and they always know what people are thinking.

I think marketers’ jobs are to understand the customers’ needs, and to comprehend their concerns in order to adjust the products accordingly. I have a positive opinion of marketers because they are really creative in the ways they market their business. Quality over quantity is a smart way to determine good industries over the bad ones. Good quality posts/ pictures/ videos makes your company more exclusive and mature. Following the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, & Action) principle to keep to the point is a good quality marketers should have if they want to strive for success.

Marketing is what a person or company does to make others know who they are or what they do. Marketing is one of the biggest parts of business and can dictate whether a company succeeds or fails. Companies will spend millions of dollars every year in their marketing department to try and gather the most business or create the most buzz about their company. Whether we like it or not marketing is a part of our everyday life, no matter where we are there is marketing around us, TV, internet or just posters on the street.

Marketing to me is essentially advertisement and influencing people to get a certain product/service. How a product sells is very dependant on marketing. To me its not a bad industry its showing off their product and making people want to buy it. if done right it can put a company on the map for a very long time .
