This week we’ve explored the 4 Ps of the Marketing Mix: Price, Product, Promotion and Place.  When a company takes a new product or service to market, which of the 4 do you think is the most important and why?

  1. I think the most important P is promotion because it is best to focus on informing people about your product and getting them excited and ready to buy it. if a company doesn’t focus on promotion the product may never be noticed and a company may lose money.

  2. Personally, I think promotion is the most important P out of the 4. I think this because the other 3 of the P’s wouldn’t be seen by the customer if the product doesn’t have a good promotion to catch peoples eye.

  3. I think the most important P when marketing a new product is the promotion. This is so crucial for the product to do well because without good promotion the product will not get noticed no matter how quality, innovative or interesting the product is. How a company promotes it product can set itself from the others. With good marketing a product that might not be as good as the others can do just as well.

  4. I think that promotion is the most important when a new product hits the market. Without proper promotion, even the best quality product will not be noticed because nobody could ever know its existence. It is important for a new product to have good quality, but at the starting point, promotion definitely weighs more. As the product’s reputation develop, the company can focus more on its quality.

  5. I believe that place is the most important P because that’s where consumers will be purchasing the product. Having both lots of different stores or ways to buy a product and having efficient locations for stores means more buyers. The place also ties to distribution of a company’s product because depending on the places you can purchase a product impacts how many sales you will make.

  6. I think the promotion is most important part of a new product. Because good advertisement attracts most people in the world. Even the good or bad quality doesn’t really effect the selling. If the product have promotion that advertised by familiar person. The selling of the product will increase.

  7. I think the most important P out of all 4Ps is the promotion because a good first impression can most likely to get people to buy your product. No one will know the product even exist if there is no promotion. A collaboration and sponsorship can also boost your company.

  8. I believe the most important P of the 4 is the P for Product. This is due to the fact that you cant use the other 3 P’S until you actually have a product that can be marketed and distributed, and it is crucial that what the consumers actually get is the best it can be and will make them happy with the purchase. If something is amazing, people will buy it no matter what it costs and whether or not it would be physically available. Consumers will always have a first impression of a product and it is a major key when trying to make a product desirable for all demographics. The iPhone is a great example, as people will buy it no matter what, they don’t care about the price, where it is, or whether it has a special promotion or not when you purchase it.

  9. I believe product is the most important for a variety of reasons. Product is what initially attracts the customer and if you don’t have a quality product the customer wont be interested in it. A company can have many advertisements and promote the product very well but if the product isn’t up to par the consumer wont be happy with it. For example burger king offers cheap burgers that lack quality while a higher end restaurant may have a more expensive burger that is of better quality, a burger with higher quality might attract more customers because of the premium experience.

  10. I believe that promotion is the most important P that a company has to take in to consideration when selling a product or service. It is important for a company to advertise their product so people will be encouraged to go out and buy it .Without promotion, some customers may not be aware of the product even existing.

  11. I think the most important P is Product because it is what attracts the customer. The quality and the capabilities of the product when compared to others of the same type is a key factor in influencing a persons decision to buy it. A company can have a lot of promotions and low prices for their products but if their product lacks the features and design a consumer is looking for it will not get purchased. For example an apple phone and an old Nokia flip phone are both capable of performing essential tasks such as texting and calling but the Iphone has a more premium design and added features such as a bigger touchscreen display and internet browsing. The extra features and sleek design of the Iphone attracts many more consumers despite its much higher price.

  12. Out of the 4 P’s, the most important is product. Though all 4 are very important, I feel like product is a tier above the rest. My reasoning for this is that product is the category that allows all the others to take place. If your product isn’t optimal and there is a lack of demand for it, there is no point in having any of the others because nobody will want your product regardless how accessible it is and how much they know about it.

In my opinion,The product is the most important because its necessary to know what people want from a product so the companies create the products that people want and need.It has to be creative and have a creative name so people would be interested in it.And as long as it has these things people would want these kind of products so its important to deliver people the products that they want.

I believe that promotion is the most important P of marketing, because without it the product, along with its price and where it’s sold would not matter, because the consumer wouldn’t know about it or wouldn’t be interested if it wasn’t promoted properly. Knowing how and when to reach your target market is very important, because people will be thinking about the product and how it could apply to their lives For example, if you are trying to reach senior citizens, you may try a newspaper ad or even a commercial at the right time of day. As well, promoting Halloween costumes in April may not be as effective as in September or October. Finally, it’s important that companies keep up with their competitors to efficiently reach their consumers.

In my opinion, of the 4p’s the product is most important because consumers are looking for the best product, for example does it work correctly, is it functioning how it is said to function, and are you getting your money worth for how the product works. As well most people look for products that are aesthetically pleasing and how it is better or worse then other contending products.

I think that the most important out of the 4 would be PRODUCT. if you are trying to sell a new product, people look at things like the way it looks, what features it has, how big it is, the colour, and if they would use it or not. The customers won’t buy a cheap looking product because it will not be worth their money. You need to able to make your product look like its well build and has the features that the customers want. These are the reasons why I think that PRODUCT is the most important out of the 4 P’s.

  17. I think they are all very important because each and every one of them take great part in the success a product or service has. Companies are forced to take them into consideration and give them equal importance if they want their product to succeed in the market. However, I do think that Promotion may be the most important of them all because it involves the influence and impact the product or service has on the public. It includes media and the strategies used to present the product as something desirable, which I think takes a lot of creativity and knowledge to truly make it work.

  19. When a company takes a new product or service to market, all four of them have to be present for success. However, the most important one has to be product, because thats the one ‘P’ customers actually need. The quality of the product will be looked at multiple times, while the place and promotion do not matter as much. The price also reflects the product’s quality.

  20. I think that the product is the most important P. I think this because your product sets the ground work for your company. Without a product that people will desire the other P’s will become useless and the company will fail. The first thing people will see and use is your product and if it doesn’t meet expectations or stay true to what it is advertised as it can destroy your company.

Honestly i’d say promotion would be the most important for a company due to collaborations and sponsorships can help boost a companies’ sales for example adidas wasn’t doing too well until Kanye West signed with them now they’re going up their stock is currently doing better at 154 while nike is at 55 that just goes to prove how one collaboration can boost your entire companies’ sales.

  25. Out of the 4P’s, I feel it all comes down to the product and if its worth buying or going through the trouble of getting this product. no ones is going to buy something that isnt worth having in there life, rather it be a waist of space, hard to deal with, expensive, etc.
